1- For short stays in the Schengen area (up to 90 days per period of 180 days)

  • You are visa-exempt
  • You must hold a valid passport / travel document + your valid residency permit (issued by Belgium, The Netherlands or Luxembourg) while you’re travelling

2 – For short stays in the French overseas territories (up to 90 days per period of 180 days):

  • You are visa-exempt
  • You must hold a passport / travel document (valid 6 months after the return date) + your valid residency permit (issued by Belgium, The Netherlands or Luxembourg) while you’re travelling

3- For stays longer than 90 days

  • You must apply for a long-stay visa
  • According to the duration and the purpose of your stay in France, different documents are required
